Course Overview

A Scrum Master certification, or Scrum certification, is a credential that recognizes your competency in Scrum project management principles. It can qualify candidates to become Scrum masters a type of project manager that uses Scrum to complete projects.. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project; clears impediments for the team; and, ensure that Scrum processes are being followed. Successful candidates will be awarded the Scrum Master Certified (SMC™) certification by SCRUM study after passing the certification exam.

Prerequisite

To pursue the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification, there are no formal prerequisites.

However, it’s beneficial to have:

1. Understanding of Scrum: Familiarity with the Scrum framework, including its roles, events, and artifacts.
2. Agile Principles: A basic understanding of Agile methodologies can be helpful.
3. Leadership and Facilitation: Developing skills in team leadership and facilitation can greatly benefit your role as a Scrum Master.
4. Study the Scrum Guide: Thoroughly read the Scrum Guide, as it’s the primary resource for the exam.

Expected Learning Outcome

Professional Scrum Master candidates are expected to build a body of knowledge of the Scrum framework, including its roles, events, and artifacts. Incorporating Scrum principles and practices takes diligence, patience, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Scrum is a framework, not a prescriptive methodology.

Understand various reports (Sprint health, velocity chart, burn down chart etc) 9. Do basic search and advanced search using JQL 10. Create filters 11. Create automated dashboards using various gadgets 12. Create team agreements in Confluence 13. Requirement management in confluence 14. Create reports in Confluence 15. Integrate 3rd party applications with Jira & Confluence
